🖐️ 3 Easy Hand Rules

🏃 The Slider Thumb

Keep your thumb soft and relaxed. It glides underneath your palm like a smooth train going under a bridge.

🚀 Finger 2 Launch

Finger 2 gives your hand gentle sideways momentum. Let it float your thumb to the next note without twisting your arm.

🎈 Soft Bouncy Wrists

Your wrist acts like a soft cushion. Keep it floating smoothly so your hands stay relaxed during long runs.

📐 Scale Groupings
1. The "1-2-3 / 1-2-3-4-5" White Key Family
C Major G Major D Major A Major E Major
How to Play: The universal standard pattern. Right Hand turns thumb under finger 3. Left Hand turns finger 3 over your thumb. Learn C Major, and you automatically know all five!
2. The 3-Black-Key Sisters
B Major F Major
The Topography Connection: Both scales frame the 3-black-key cluster (F♯–G♯–A♯)!

B Major anchors at the bottom edge of the 3 black keys.
F Major anchors at the white key (F) right below that same group.

Both use a 4-finger group (1-2-3-4) in the Right Hand to navigate around the B / B♭ pivot point cleanly.
3. Black-Key Anchors
D♭ Major E♭ Major A♭ Major B♭ Major
Golden Rule: Never put your Thumb (Finger 1) on a black key! Long fingers (2, 3, 4) land on black keys, while your thumb acts as a pivot anchor on white keys (C and F).
